Young Living, EO’s and More!

Young Living, EO’s and More!

One of the best things that my journey on this side of the time realm has been the discovery of natural medicine through the study of herbs and essential oils.

Since I am limited at this point in my garden space, growing in pots has become a bit of a challenge. However, growing ‘weeds‘ in pots has been fairly easy. In fact, they seem to love it and thrive in the great potting soil provided! Especially purselane – oh my! Talk about abundant!

Other plants that do well for me in pots are basil, rosemary, mullein, lettuce, onions, garlic, ginger, oregano and a variety of other smaller plants. Another ‘weed‘ that I decided to try to grow in pots this year was lamb quarters – so nutritious even beating out spinach! In fact, it’s often called wild spinach. The seeds of lambs quarters has been utilized for centuries. It is one of the most nutritious greens you can eat, however, it is also high in oxalates* which there are some precautions. But it is extremely easy to grow and I’ve had many a salad with the tender leafs, or stir frying them as a spinach dish.

ANYWAY – while I to tend to eat most of my potted plants, I also enjoy making tinctures and teas from them as well, which brings me to one of my obsessions! Essential Oils. My mother actually brought me up in the Essential Oil way of living and I like to think I’m honoring her by continuing in something that was so dear to her heart.

She was a distributor of Young Living Oils for probably 20 years and met so many wonderful people and learned so much about the products! So I will continue to add EO’s to my healthy living regiment and encourage others to check it out for themselves. Or you can always email me with any questions you might have.
