Shea Cream Recipes

Wonderful and Easy Face and Hand Cream Recipes made with the main ingredient of Shea Butter

Semi-Solid Shea Butter Hand Cream Recipe

Ingredients:
1 oz beeswax
1 oz sweet almond oil (or oil of your choice)
0.75 oz shea butter
0.5 oz cocoa butter
add fragrance or EO if wanted

Melt your beeswax in a double boiler (or pan on top of pan will work). Once the beeswax is melted, just add your cocoa butter, then shea butter and after that is almost melted, add your sweet almond oil (or use jojoba or olive or almond). Once that is all melted, remove from heat, let cool a bit and then add your essential oil or fragrance oil.

Pour your mixture into a decorative jar or bottle and when cooled, it will make a nice semi-solid cream.

Favorite Whipped Shea Butter Cream

One of my favorite Shea Cream recipes is not only great for your skin, but is wonderful emollient, anti-aging and wrinkle prevention cream.

1 part Shea Butter
1 part Jojoba Oil
1 part Aloe Butter

Melt all ingredients and hold at almost boiling for about 15 minutes. I use a 4cup Pyrex cup to melt the ingredients and to whip in. After the 15 minutes, set the pyrex into the freezer for about 5 minutes. Take it out of the freezer and start beating it with your mixer (regular hand mixer!). Beat it for about 10 mins and stick it back into the freezer for another 10 - continue this process until when you whip it up it looks like ... well, whipped butter! Add your essential oils if desired and whip it in good, then just spoon it out into your jars, label and store in a cool place. This is a wonderful body/face cream. Sometimes I add a tablespoon or two of cornstarch to make it not so greasy. Although I like it either way!
